Our Search Stings table shows us what someone typed into a search engine, found us, and then visited. Our #1 hit was for someone looking for a "cancel service letter." We don't know what kind of service they were canceling. Heck, it could've been someone looking to cancel their cell phone! That person needed a letter, and just typed "cancel service letter" into Google and found us. Our #9 search was for Ed Slawson; Ed's a local web site designer in Waldoboro. Someone was looking for him, and found us! This info is a great way to determine if your site is search engine friendly, if you're using the right key words and meta tags, and if people are finding you based on what your business actually does. Let's say you sell boats, and one of the model names for a boat is "The Flying Fish." If you're getting lots of search strings that say "flying fish reproduction," or "flying fish recipes," then you might consider altering your page code to reflect that your "flying fish" is actually a boat, and not a small tropical delicacy with wings!
